Thanks to Yoana for pointing out this deer that was resting just across from the floating building before class yesterday. We invited him to join the Marine Science class, but he seemed to be enjoying his peaceful perch.

October 23, 2015Intertidalling deer
May 5, 2013Ela spotted these black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus columbianus) walking in the intertidal mudflats near our Maintenance dock on Wednesday 1 May. She said that while they did have some difficulty traveling across the mud, they were much more at ease than small-footed humans seem to be.
Thanks for the photos Ela!
